Monks Movement
How should monks move around the battlefield? I just made one and normally human monks stay way back but alesia seems to run around the combat field like crazy. Is there any sense to what the healer hench is doing or is she just on whacky tabacky?

The easiest thing for PvE is to just stand in the back. For PvP you're gonna have to run around like a "whacky tabacky" to shed warriors, avoid being hit by arrows, and get out of AoE.

Yea, you do gotta run around alot in Pvp, but idk about Alesia, she doesnt strike me as smart enough to move out a Maelstrom personally.
Off-topic: Kool name/avatar Beowulf, I was playing FFT the day before yesterday and did the sidequest at Goland Coal City to get Reis/Beowulf.

Also, if you notice enemy ranged attackers/casters targeting you and you can spot where they are on the battlefield, try to run in the opposite direction of them. That way, they will either have to move in order to hit/cast on you or will seek a new target and waste time.

It depends on what sort of healer you are.
A squishy healer Mo/? that's energy-limited, like the ordinary healer monks that run around arenas, have to run when a warrior chases them. You can't out-heal their damage, since you'll run dry of energy. Running gives you an opportunity to regenerate energy during the period you're not healing.
A protection monk in a rough battle, especially one running Boon, can survive the attention from a warrior a bit better, and it's sometimes more advantageous to sit there and heal yourself along with others while the warrior hits you.
On the other extreme, an Ether Renewal E/Mo healer or protector (which are both very effective, don't knock it 'til you've tried it) has amazing self-defense and self-heal abilities. When I run mine, I rarely run away from attackers: I figure that I'm better defended, hiding between spammed protection spells and Armor of Earth and with massive self-heals from Aura of Restoration and Ether Renewal, than anyone else in the party. Any attention I can draw to myself is a good thing, since it means fewer people I have to take care of. Plus, I gain no benefit from running away to regenerate energy, since my energy and health "income" from Renewal and Aura relies on staying put and casting.

Run behind walls to avoid ranged attacks, run around in general to avoid melee attacks, don't accidentally get stuck into weird grooves where 1 warrior can come up and block you completely :\.
Grubby style 1 unit hero surround plz.
Anyhoo henchman is just retarded.
